History of Viruses - Part I

In 1949 a creator of computer Automatic Computer Electronic Discrete variables (EDVAC), John Von Neuman reveals Theory and Organization Of Complicated Automata, a research mathematicians. At that time, Neuman thinking how to make a computer program that can make copies of itself. But these thoughts are not addressed by other math experts at the time, this is because the theory presented Neuman still considered far too difficult.

Core War
In 1960, experts laboratories BELL (AT & T), which is one computer laboratory in the world which has produced many programs, such as C and C, do research by experimenting with the theory of Neuman on the sidelines of time off them. They make a game based on the theory. Games that they made in line with expectations Neuman, that is capable of making copies of itself. Even the programs that they design capable of destroying the programs created by other programmers. The main concept of this game is a program considered a winner if the program is able to destroy other programs that made the opponent within a certain time. War of the program is called Core War.

These Games could become the most favorite games in some computer lab time. Creativity and innovation laboratory experts in making games is becoming more sophisticated, driven by pride to beat the other programs so that over time they created a program more dangerous.

The Rabbit.
Programs that have the ability of the virus first appeared in 1960. The program is called The Rabbit, the program is able to eliminate the ability of the resources of a mainframe computer. But this program is limited to attack certain mainframe computer and unable to spread into the system.

Creeper.
Worm as a program that has the ability as well as a virus, was first made by Bob Thomas. This program dinamakn Creeper. The program is designed to display a message to airline operators if the control is from one computer to another. The message created is'm Creeper! catch me if you can.
But unfortunately this program still has a bug that generated a lot of problems. The bug caused the Creeper to move to a computer that is not expected. That's why it created a program called anti Creeper Reeper. Reeper have the ability to identify traces of the Creeper who has moved to a computer that is not expected that.

Town Crier and Vampire
In 1979 the company tahnu Xerox PARC (Palo Alto Research Center) introduced several programs called by the term worm. The project was created by two programmers are Jhon Soch and Jon Hupp. In 1980 they made a five-worm created the program with the aim to do certain tasks in the environment surrounding tissue. One of the worms which they have called the Town Crier in charge of entering the network and displays the message announcement. This worm is made simple premises. In addition to the Town Crier, they also create a more complex worm Vampire. The ability of these worm like things Vampire her real vampire who worked at night while they sleep during the day, but despite this Vampire worm program was designed more complex, have also occurred a program bug. Bug of the worm causes the computer network can not be used.
