Set Haier C700 Smart Modem in Ubuntu 9.10

Welcome 4tatc all friends, here I will write an article about how to configure hp smart Haier C700 modem in ubuntu, I wrote this article because of my many friends who ask smart questions about the settings in ubuntu. Then I started to learn step by step and finally I found.

How do I set Haier C700 Smart Modem in Ubuntu 9.10?
To use Smart types Haier CDMA modem in Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic C700 Koala, follow these steps (copy-paste the commands here to the Terminal, the contents of the password when prompted):

1. Turn on your phone and plug the USB device to your computer.
2. See vendor and product codes cell phone with the command in Terminal:
     lsusb
Note the one-one line which reads "Bus 002 Device 003: ID 05c6: 9004 Qualcomm, Inc.."
3. Mobile phones to be used, run the command again in Terminal:
sudo modprobe usbserial vendor = 0 × 05c6 product = 0 × 9004
4. Right-click the Network Manager icon in the top right of the desktop, select "Edit Connections ...".
5. Select the "Mobile Broadband", then "Add". Dialog window will display "New Mobile Broadband Connection". Make sure on the "Create a mobile broadband connection for this device:" listed "Smart Smart CDMA Technologies MSM". Furthermore, just hit "Forward" a few times with a choice of provider "Alltel" from the United States.
6. Edit the information on the "Alltell" by filling in the username and password from the service (username and password I: smart). You can change the "Connection name" freely, eg "Internet Smart." Finish by clicking "Apply" and "Close".
7. Back to the desktop, click the Network Manager icon in the upper right and select "Smart Internet" to initiate a connection.

Note:

* If the connection is interrupted, restart your phone without unplug the USB from the computer, then follow step 7. This was done because Haier C700 does not automatically close the connection, so the computer is still 'busy' with the phones.
* To restart the connection when the computer is started: restart the phone, then follow steps 1, 3 and 7. Fortunately, step 3 can be skipped with the order activate automatically when the computer is turned on. How: in Terminal type
sudo gedit / etc / rc.local
above the word 'exit' add command
modprobe usbserial vendor = 0 × 05c6 product = 0 × 9004
and click "Save".
* Ubuntu usually require you to make an additional password (key) when you first make a connection. You can fill or empty it always allow internet usage (always allow). This password can be viewed / edited in the Application> Accessories> Key.
